Beyooooondddd good!! Did you know that cheesecake is actually super easy to make from scratch? I know cheesecake is good on its own but today I tried something new and learned that it’s even more addicting when you combine it with brownie and Oreos! Sooo good!
To make this deliciousness move a little faster in the kitchen, I used brownie mix, but if you have extra time and a favorite brownie recipe, feel free to use that one. Just whip up the two batters, spoon 1 1/2 tablespoons of each into muffin tins, sprinkle with Oreo crumbs and you have yourself (and whoever you choose to share these with) a batch of gourmet desserts.
So go ahead, fill your refrigerator with brownie + cheesecake + Oreo!
Yields 24 cupcakes
For the cheesecake:
- Two 8 oz packages of cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 tsp salt
For the brownie:
- 1 box Duncan Hines brownie mix
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 eggs
Line muffin tins with cupcake liners.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In one bowl, mix together the brownie mix, oil, water and eggs.
In a mixer, or another bowl (and use a handheld mixer), add the cream cheese and sugar and beat until smooth. Mix in the eggs and salt, then add the sour cream and continue to beat until incorporated.
Add about 1 1/2 tablespoons of brownie batter to each muffin compartment. Spoon cheesecake batter on top.
Place Oreos in a ziplock bag and crush using a rolling pin or equivalent. Sprinkle Oreo crumbs on top of cheesecake.
Bake until the cheesecake is set, 25-30 minutes.
Remove from muffin tins when cool enough to handle. Let cool completely, and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
