Korean Beef

This quick Korean beef recipe is sure to satisfy your cravings for savory flavors, and is ready in just a pinch. The beef gets a hint of spice from Gochujang, a Korean red chili paste that is becoming more widely available (I used Mikee brand which is found in many supermarkets).

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp Gochujang

Heat a skillet and brown the beef. Cook until no longer pink. Add the garlic and ginger and sauté for two minutes. Mix together the soy sauce, honey, and Gochujang and add to the cooked beef. Stir to incorporate and cook for an additional two minutes. Serve over rice.
