Spinach & Cheese Stuffed Shells

Oodles of spinach and melted cheese all tucked into a jumbo pasta shell. This dish is so scrumptious and a great way to add vegetables into your comfort food. It can also be made ahead and popped into your oven 45 minutes before you’re ready for dinner.



  • 1 12 oz box of jumbo shells
  • 10 oz frozen chopped spinach
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 8 oz + 2 oz shredded mozzarella or pizza cheese
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 24 oz marinara sauce


Prepare pasta shells according to package directions. In the meantime, heat a sauté pan and add the frozen spinach. Sauté until defrosted and all liquid has evaporated. Mix together the spinach, ricotta cheese, 8 oz shredded cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Coat the bottom of a large baking dish with marinara sauce. When pasta shells are cooked and have cooled enough to handle, stuff with spinach cheese mixture and place into baking dish. Top with remaining sauce and cheese.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes if cooking right away. Otherwise, place in the fridge and when ready, bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
