Baked String Beans with Shallots

String beans are so universal. They go with almost any meal, and have the ability to be easy and delicious. When I want them to be extra yummy, I don’t steam or sauté. Instead, I make this throw-it-in-the-oven recipe. The caramelized shallots and spices make this a delicious (and quick) go-to side.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of string beans
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 shallot, diced
  • 14 tsp pepper
  • 18 tsp salt
  • 14 tsp garlic powder

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place string beans in a baking dish. Add the olive oil, diced shallot, pepper, salt, and garlic powder, and mix to incorporate. Bake for about 35 minutes.
